Fractional shares allow you to invest in a company without having to buy a full share. This is especially useful if you find the price of a full share to be too expensive. With fractional shares you could buy a half or a quarter of a share for example, making that company much more accessible. This also makes it more affordable for you to build a diversified portfolio.
How does it work?
When you purchase a stock on the BUX app, you’ll now get the option to place your order using a cash amount.
You can enter as little as €10 and we’ll buy as many fractions as we can for that amount. Let’s say a company’s stock is listed at €1,000 and you want to buy €200 worth. You’d then own 0.2 (20%) of a share.
Alternatively, you can enter a specific number of fractional shares you’d like to buy, such as 0.1 share or 0.25 shares.
